  1. Yeah, Blake that's exactly what we did. We skied to pretty much the high spot of the Fremont Glacier, which is remarkably flat once you're over the moraine. Sky has a rad pic of me on the "summit pyramid" of the Fremont Glacier.

Rolf..no it's not Tricouni...it's actually just a little sub-summit of Buckner...kinda like the ENE face. But the face is pretty big and gnarly lookin for sure.

Mike...Yeah that couloir on Booker looks sweet! Someone needs to go get that for sure!

    have fun!

  3. spent a few days in Red Rocks variously climbing, feeling sick, sleeping a ton, hiking around the canyons, drinking, climbing some more, and generally trying to avoid the strip. Climbed a bit at the first pullout, pine creek canyon, deep in oak creek canyon and in calico hills. Awesome weekend! Definitely want to spend more time in the area.

  4. Yeah I see what you're saying, it does seem like the unit would move as a whole, but I think that there is enough "free" movement of the strands of the yellow runner descending from the hitch to cause some sawing...I don't know...try it at home I guess and see if you can get any separate movement by the descending strands.

  5. Yeah the two runners joined by the hitch will not move across each other...cuz it's essentially a knot...however, the strands of the yellow runner coming down out of the hitch can swing back and forth if the weighted rope is swinging also by the person on it going left or right, so the back and forth motion of the weighted yellow runner abrating against the loop of yellow runner forming the hitch seems to have caused the failure....YIKES!!!
