  1. The Ascending Path located in Girdwood AK is in need of a part-time climbing guide this summer. Applicants should have extensive glacier and rock guiding experience and a love of Girdwood. We will be guiding day trips through Alyeska Resort. Please submit your resume to Heather Rowland at info@theascendingpath.com. Thanks!
  2. howdy, check out this Ama Dablam gallery we just added to our site. This is by far the most beautiful mountain in the world!! Ama Gallery

  4. Hi- We are going to Peru this January for some expedition climbing. We realize it might be a bit wet, but it is the off season, so we will have the Ishinca Valley of the Cordilla Blanca range (Ishinca (18,138') Urus (17,778') and Tocllaraju (19,785') all to ourselves. Any of you interested in joining us?
  5. Mate- If you are an ice climber move to alaska!
  6. Its not wet here in Alaska! The Ice is in! Woo hoo!!!
  7. yea tongoraro is great, but the excellent alpine climbing is found on the south island. Try Mt. hicks, a great moderate ice climb. Aspiring is outstanding and a bit easier than cook. Expect to pay some $$ if you want to chopper or fly into climb. Don't be affrid to use a local guide while down there, some of the best in the world! Have fun!!! www.theascendingpath.com
  8. A great day trip is the north east face of the tooth... we found 1 foot of hoar frost on 65 degrees... God I was happy when I got to that tree... 165' runout. The ridge had m5 moves on it, just rime ice- Our eyebrows froze.
  9. Hi There I walked into Denali basecamp in 1997... beautiful, we went via the Granit glacier on the east side of little swiss rather than up the lower kahiltna. you should do it!
