she might be cute, but she ain't as cute as this big guy!
 -
we're starting at 10:30, so dunno what time that will make us finish... with the recent addition of Erik to our squad, we will in no doubt win our division hands down. lets do set a time/place to meet up, or you can just look for the session plume of plab, we'll be nearby
 -
for a good time, cheap entertainment, and the finest of broadcasting skills, tune into Z21, the *only* local Bend news affiliate, NBC 21 on the rabbit ears 5 on cable iz some good sheat

fires are so suck, at least this one appears to be re-bruning, if that is possible, some of the link fire area
 -
i'm gonna go streak the redmond airport with cc.com written on my white ass just as airforce one comes mobbin in to town.
 -
the two fires have joined so its now a complex that has burned over 4000 acres already. the other fire started on bear butte south of jefferson, and the other started just north of suttle lake. the folks that live in black butte ranch are on standby to be evacuated for the 3rd time in a little over a year, the 2nd time this summer imho, its a conspiracy, george w. set the fire so people will be more receptive to his forest thining ideas that he is going to pitch today in Redmond, OR DUBYA IN CENTRAL OREGON! we have arrived!

yep you can do voip on IM, but this service gives you a physical phone number. from my understanding, you take the router with you, and your phone number follows you.. kind of nice. also for folks with lots of relatives in one area, say CA or NY, you can get a local number for that area, but your calls would ring at your home in WA or OR. i'm looking at ditching my qwest line and getting my wife a cell phone, or possibly this, i like this b/c her sister just moved to canada so she could call her whenever she wanted. only draw back for me, we couldn't have a local 541 number, so folks calling us from around here would have ot either call my cell, or call long distance (which is gay)
 -
nope, you supply the 'net pipe, they give you the phone service... but for what i pay for my qwest line, this would only be about $10 more a month, and free service to canada so those late night phone sex-a-thons with drul wouldn't cost a dime.
 -
anybody use this? http://www.vonage.com looks pretty dope, and best part of it you could ditch qwest.

I'm proposing we also have a gear swap at the tuft fest, so bring the gear you want to unload, swap meet style. I also thought it might be cool for folks to make some cd compilations with their fav road trippin or climbing tunes on it, and we can do some music swappage as well. just a thought. -

meat gazin dwayner, just trying to get some info on it thats all. why do you always have to turn any post that is remotely related to sport climbing into a bolting debate? effin chill dur! Besides, one should come see the "wild" nature of these "caves" first before passing judgement. There is one closer to town, not really party of the Arnold group that is super trashed, spray paint, old fridges, just sick. I think that chalk does not have its place in the tubes, but there are obviously some other resource "users" out there that cause much more impact than someone climbing around in the opening of said caves. furthermore, it seems there is some mixed policing going on, and/or the policies are unclear regarding the use of the China Hat caves, just trying to get the access info straight. I for one did not know I can't take me mutts down the tubes, now I know so I guess my quest for info is somewhat worthwhile so far. spray on homey!

this is a follow up from another thread. i've done some investigating, haven't contacted the FS yet, but that is my next step, found this interesting read about the Road 18 (china hat) lava tubes SE of bend: Overall at least maintained current fluency, accuracy and comprehension levels of reading. web page in particular some interesting tidbits found in the appendix of the above document: I believe the Hidden Forest cave actually had some bolted lines at one point in time. Have folks on the site here been ticketed by FS rangers or asked to not climb? I'm curious as to what they have said. The above document also talks about the Access Fund getting involved around the time of its writing. Just trying to get the scoop, any more info would be 'preciated.

What: Smiff Rox cc.com Summit 2003 When: October 3 - 5, 2003 Where: Skullhollow/Grasslands CG and Smiff Rock State Park Yes friends, the rumors are true. After much proding from our dear friend in MN.... Carolyn, us orygun folks are going to have ourselves a little party. Mainly cuz we are white trash, and the meth is better down here, or maybe we are sick and enjoy holds popping out at random times, maybe the beer is better down here, it just don't matter we gonna have a good time. The weekend will involve a few basic things, climbing and drinking, perhaps some sessioning will be thrown in for good measure. If you are plab, you can come, if you are unsure of your plab status, and are female, send me some pictures and i'll let you know. Saturday night, we'll have a bbq out at the g'lands. I'll bring out my grill, and cc.com will supply some costco style bbq supplies, first come, first chubbed. Sunday AM, I am going to see if the Smith Rock park rangers have a service project that folks could help with, folks that want to give back a little bit and aren't too hung over... more details on that to follow. I'm going to sponsor 1 keg myself, trying to secure some fine brew from the NE corner of the state, but if not, a Obsidian Stout will be served. So mark yer calendars, the weather should be perfect, and the people will be plab... head south friends and come join the magic! NOTE: All cc'ers are invited, even if you are from lesser states like WA, or perhaps Idaho, or maybe even Minnesotta. Co-Sponsored by: Amazing Co. and G.A.P.E.R. Org. (Gumnuts Against Proliferatoin of Erectile-Sybian Rimjobs)

sick terrain on bachy is only had by those who hold the sacred soul pole of plab, or you can duct tape a 3' HC to your helmet, and the terrain will appear. its kinda like the wardrobe to narnia

How often are more remote peaks of Olympics visite
gapertimmy replied to johndavidjr's topic in Olympic Peninsula
i just got back from a 4 day jaunt up skokomish into the duck, into the enchanted, into the freaking horse fly haven. staircase wasn't that much fun, i don't know if i'll hike that section of trail again, but the solitude, the scenery just can't be beat. i was going to ask if many folks get in for ski tours, i'm guessing there are still quite a few FD's to be had back there. -
bachy roxxorz yer dome, we gotz mad terrain and sick hitz
