trask, don't even get me started. I know everybody here, if they are honest with themselves, knows an individual or a family who came to the US, worked like hell, and bootstrapped themselves into a better life. I remember in high school in the 70s, a Vietnamese family, must've been 6 kids, descended on our school. The kid in my grade was like all of 'em, failed English for half a year while making A+ in French. Phys Ed was an embarrassing time for him, until the day they broke out the ping-pong tables, and he became a hero. This family's father had been a docter, but was reduced to bagging groceries. Fastforward to today. Through hometown contacts, I know that at least 2 of the kids are physicians, and all of them are doing well. Good for them! Hurrah USA.

I have a business friend who is 100% indian, and whose family was so screwed up that he still tells people he was an orphan child, even tho he's over 60 now. Very successful businessman, civic leader. Everything he has and is, he made and shaped by himself. He did it, and he is quick to tell anybody how we honestly do live in the land of opportunity. He also used to tell me that he often would jump people of other minorities when he heard them whine, calling Bullshit on it. The world's not fukkin fair, but God knows this country offers you an opportunity to be what you want to be. I think it's as close to nirvana as anyone can ask for, if those people who are at the bottom can rise several notches by sheer hard work. I believe that frankly a whole lot of people resent the idea that they might have to work 20-30% harder than others in order to move up.

Okay, here's how they stack up so far: INTJ 24% (5) INTP 19% (4) ENFP 14% (3) ISTJ 9.5% (2) ISFJ 9.5% (2) ENTJ 9.5% (2) ENTP 9.5% (2) INFP 5% (1) 21 is admittedly a very small sample size. No words of wisdom or analysis, since I am not a shrink, or psychologist, or anything of the like. But I have to believe that this sport (or maybe this site) draws certain profiles of people to it. That's a heck of a lot of INTJ's in one place. I actually thought there would be a lot of ISTP's, who supposedly are the wide-open individual-sports types, but this threw that theory out the window. Anyhoo, all in fun.

Shit, I just "successfully" gained 4-5 lb from Thanksgiving to now, while running 20+ miles per week. Was eatin' just about what you are intending to eat. Drink 2 or 3 of those beers and you'll have it nailed.

Sisu, I would say that maybe kids of shrinks can sometimes be fucked up. Had a buddy in high school whose dad was a shrink. He told his son that he could tell if he smoked pot just by looking at him. Result: One very paranoid, stoned kid. All people obviously have times when their personalities may be different than other times. And some people are "in the middle" on some traits (like for instance Introversion/Extroversion). But I think that a whole lot of people have a general profile that fits. This personality profile test obviously does not say anything about traits like intelligence, emotional intensity, trust, etc.

Goat, stop bein' so damn prickly. I don't want to know who you are...not your name, not your nationality, not whether you are a girl or guy. Just yr damn personality profile. I showed you mine, now you show me yours. Or suffer the stony silence...
