  1. I'm up for some laps tonight. Probably can get there ~5:30. Where shall we meet?
  2. Didn't see anyone on Tue, so went up top and traversed until failure - doesn't take very long. Hope to make it out on Thur.
  3. Come-on Bill, toothpick would be the perfect climb for that finger! It won't be the same without you but I'd still like to get in some laps tonight. Anyone else interested?
  4. Still looking for the perfect suncreen - High SPF - blocks UVA & UVB - non-greasy - sweatproof/long lasting - doesn't run in your eyes or at least won't sting like hell if it does Any recommendations...
  5. Hey Bill, I'll be out tonight ~5pm to help with the spraying and belaying.
  6. I'm in - what area were you thinking Bill? If things go right at work, I'd like to get there by 5, maybe earlier.
  7. Did it stay dry out there in the AM, pretty drizzly here. I got most of my projects done. Anyone up for a 1/2 day of climbing tomorrow?
  8. Hey Bill, It sure will be good to climb with you all again. I probably won't manage to get there any earlier than 5:30 - but if I can, I'll give him a call.
  9. I'm going to try and join in on the fun tonight. My son's baseball season is finally over so now I need to catch up on my climbing.
  10. We pretty much followed the main route (#14) as shown in Oregon High except perhaps at the very end when we climbed up staight up through some interesting rime and rock rather than skirting left. Using VW's photo, and my hazy memory I added what I think was our line in green. It is a fun route, especially the way it winds through and connect one narrow gulley after another. One last comment, if you climb with Laura, you better be in shape!
  11. I did a little scouting today too. Finished by soloing on the lower right side of Crown Jewel. Very wet . Very fun . It will go all the way to the top if you're so inclined. Bad self-photos Looking Up Looking down More photos from the day http://picasaweb.google.com/Holscher.Tim/GorgeIce20070114.
  12. I climbed Hood via one of DK chutes Fri am. Took a good look down at Cooper Spur from the summit (~11:30) but didn't see any climbers on the route. A bit windy on top but otherwise a beautiful day. Things have definitely got a lot worse since them. Sure hope all 3 are OK.
  13. I'm going to take a break tonight also. Phylynx put the hurt on me - no trouble for Bill & aradia though. Might get in some lite bouldering up top.
  14. 5:45 is good. I don't have preference yet on where - let's figure it out when we get there.
  15. Thanks for the climbing Bill! I'm all clear, let's do it again on Thur.
  16. I'm hoping to join you guys. Been way to long - will be good to get out again.
  17. Any idea what time they filmed that? Just wondering. We were on it until about 11:20. Just saw the clip, that was Donnie and myself around 1:30 or so, right before the weather turned. We were the two guys that started after you. Unfortunately, the drive home was much more adventurous than the climbing.
  18. Nice climb Ivan! I'd like to check out more of your pics sometime, seeing how I smashed my camera (and almost myself) into itty-bitty pieces on that route.
  19. The road is still closed. The TJ trail is not so bad. Here's a nice sunrise pic. Don't bother looking for the climbers, they're not in sight.
  20. Yesterday I hiked up and climbed on the ice flows coming of the lower spur. Saw a party of two climb the right gulley. If you're on this site, I was curious how the conditions were. Also, I have some pretty good pics of the mountain with you as specs. Great day to be on the mountain!
  21. I'd only consider buying if the pick was replacable.
  22. Glad your OK Rob!!! WOW! I knew you guy's were out climbing but had no idea about the accident until looking at this thread today. That must be some damn good good medicine at the Vault to wip you back into shape so fast and let you keep climbing the rest of your trip.
  23. Perfect! You wouldn't want your friends to go back without anything less than the full experience. Oh and next time you head out into such pleasant conditions, make sure to bring the wife and kid along for a relaxing family outing.
