politicians beign politicians is them attending meetings, discussing the topic, and voting, not avoiding quorum so as to prevent a vote of a bill that will pass if voted upon... my point was this, if everyone did this (every majority) NOTHING (litterally) would get done in the goverment...

i think it sounds like a good idea for certain circumstances, like multi pitch trad where you know what the belays are like (but how often is that the case). it is obviously a specialty item...mabe it would be good in the gunks? with all those horizontal cracks you could fast and easily equalize your anchors... but it's pricey for a specialized pice of anchor equipment...

when is the latest that you would reccomend garibaldi (ie before the brush gets uncovered and the scree becomes a bitch again?) thanks

i had never thought abuot it before, but i climb about the same cracks and sport...i just thought i was an anomaly...i dont climb that hard (10) but i have noticed that people see mee leading 10's on trad and say het justmp on this 11 sport piece and i just flail... i had never thought that they might be even, but it makes sense what you are saying...

no doubt..sure there will be a difference from trad to sport, but 5.10 to 5.13 is light years...it is like 4th class to 5.9

i dont think nationalism was prety for anyone during that time period (ie 1938-1940+) we entered the war not to defend the jews but to procure our own national security and our own intrests...but his laster writings have a different tone...also the earlier ones...this is evident in the 1921 interview for nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant (about his first visit to the U.S.) where he talks of the 'spirit' of the U.S. being a great collective effort void of the jealousy that the european nations possessed. i dont know what else the 'collective spirit' would be rffering to...
