  15. now if they could sell that boot in a non-baby blue color
  16. well seriously is a 10.5x60 rope going to ruin all possibility of success for the climbs most are doing out there? give me a break.
  17. leave the heel risers up too, then every slope is a 50 degree sick fest!
  18. canting I believe only adjusts the lateral angle on the boot. Just make sure you get the forward lean set to it's max. On mine, I have to get into the bindings, lean way forward, flip the walk thingy down, and then lean forward until they snap into ski mode. have fun on tumalo, probably set up real nice right now in that north bowl. oregon classic.
  19. wow xxx's w/ freerides! hope you're wearing a parachute
  20. yeah, you have to focus on keeping out of the back seat. w/ freerides, some have removed the front shim to angle the binding more. I flail enough that I wouldn't even notice that modification. The denalis (if that's what you're using) can push you back a bit too.
  21. easy pickens
  22. I still do climb on glaciers w/ a long 9.something rope. I can't afford 6 billion different ropes for all this stuff.
  23. Seems many of the people who have successfully been guided up Everest did not do much in the way of helping w/ planning and prep and simply had to slog it up there on the fixed lines and do what they were told. I guess it would probably come down to whether the kid had developed the stamina yet or not. there are some fit kids out there. Also I would guess a smaller frame would be more susceptible to hypothermia and general exposure. Who knows? Do you consider it irresponsible?
  24. yep
