    Which 4WD SUV?

hmm maybe the engineering is sound, I was talking about the plastic bathtub crap they put on those things these days. I just don't think it looks very good anymore that's all.

    Stone Nudes

since there aren't even 12 female climbers on this site at any given point I say to this idea.
  6. it's the fabric of our lives afterall.
  7. nothing wrong with cordalettes for the nth time.
  8. Nice Pete! Even the practice slopes just out front can be awesome. Did much of the same activities you mentioned there last year, and finished w/ a fun traverse over to Great Cairn hut and Sir Sandford. I've heard of people going in there and just being hut-bound all week. Good to see you got out. You didn't happen to see some grey Nalgene waterbottles there, one w/ an AAC sticker on them? I think I left them there on accident. Too bad Fairy Meadows has become such a popular hut.
  9. ps no one looks good in an ecrin roc. it's designed that way on purpose.

    Im Drunk!

there always seems to be an I'm Drunk! themed thread checking in here after each weekend. amusing.
  18. as for conds on the west side, there were some minor sluffs off yocum ridge today but there is no sign of debris coming out out leuthold's which seems to slide as much as anything over there. That said, not worth the effort imho to head up those routes w/o some good freeze-thaw, and so far, just thaw. Saw ski tracks out of leuthold, nice turns. maybe some high quality new snow on the way too
  19. knots in the rope would be a pain in the ass! They would catch on rime chunks and stuff and be a general annoyance and probably would saw into the lip even more than usual. Not to mention how annoying it would be to stand in the cold tying knots in the rope and stuff. Can't imagine why anyone would do this.
  20. were you solo? I saw you heading in. Today was much better for skiing up there than climbing in my opinion. Freezing level high. Those gulleys are much better after a good cycle of freeze-thaw. Too much crap raining down in there higher up otherwise too.
  21. Trask I have located just the thing for you on eBay, better start bidding quick: twister
  22. they're called stoners.

    OH MY GAD!

Similar experience hanging out in northern England out on the moors as a kid, a RAF tornado barreled right over a hill. It was totally silent until it was right on top of us and then it was deafening. The thing was hauling too, probably was doing laps around the island or something
