There are a couple of simple fixes the government should simply legislate into practice to help decrease our need for enery.

One, decrease the number of dark hours and let the sun do it's work for us.

Two, lower the boiling point of water. You don't need as much energy if you didn't have to heat it so high.

I'm sure there are others I'm not thinking of. Anyone got any other suggestions?

  2. did you see any ice?

Slesse was actually silhouetted in the sun and difficult to see anything, but in any case I wasn't looking for it and I didn't see any.

As for the other side of the valley, there was no apparent snow whatsoever right to the summits of the Illusions and Rexford.

Okay, so it's not climbing or anything, but I went up to the Slesse Memorial on Sunday. Weather was obviously amazing and the trail was in great shape.

Snow the last bit on the road, only one washout to contend with on the way, but no general difficulties in the Trooper, after all, that's what skid plates are for!

Drove to the trailhead and then proceeded to wade up to my knees through the creek boots and all. Trail was great - snow all the way, but no chainsaws required. Never did find the memorial, but made it to the clearcut in under 2 hours. A great day!

  4. A five-year-old can have lots of energy. Heck, he probably didn't even realize it was uphill. I've gone hiking with non-climber friends and have been surprised by some of them for their utter lack of ability to even hike up a logging road.

(My previous post had a typo: probably properly was properly probably.)

Yeah, but I kind of find logging roads like walking in a mall - exhausting! I don't know how people can do it - they have to be in way better shape than me, and often they use walkers!

  5. How do you shoot the devil in the back? What if you miss?

    Wake up. Time to die.

    Bladerunner

Can you name the movie my signature is from?

  6. Out of curiosity, why would removing somebody's signs from the median be illegal? Technically, it's just litter if its on public land its just as much my right to remove them as it is somebody else's right to place them there.

Based on your logic, I would think you have much more of a right to remove them than those who put them there, provided you cleaned them up and didn't throw them somewhere else where you'd be littering. I'm all for it! Let's clean up our backyard!

  7. I don't want someone who doesn't read, that has limited experience in the world, that is inarticulate, or that is plain dumb.

Yah, but he watches TV! You can't take that away from him. How much experience do you want?

No shit! thumbs_up.gif I've thought about putting a "slower traffic keep right" or "keep right except to pass" sign in my left rear window. Fuckin' lousy WA drivers. madgo_ron.gif

Be thankful you don't have to drive with all the idiots who learned to drive in BC (I'm from TO)! Everytime I go to Washington, I'm impressed that people even know that there's a right lane. I hate it when the media always presents these lanes as being the fast lane and the slow lane. I always thought it was the driving lane and the passing lane. Everyone seems to think they're fast so they sit in the left. Up here, I think everyone also plans ahead real well. They think, oh, in about 100 km's I'll need to be in the left lane for some unknown reason, so I'll just go there now. Half the time I'm sure they don't even know why they're there. Idiots!

  9. I have nothing to add except to say that j_b is a fucking dick - I have said it here, and will insinuate it constantly in the future. How's that? Fuck yourself, j_b; may you contract a social disease from one of you butt-ramming liberal/socialist buddies.

    Sincerely,

Feel the love! Is this why our world is in such great shape?
