I don't know if it's just cuz everyone jumps in on the pitbull stories, but there's a lot of them. Another is a girl hanging out on couch with her pet pitbull, owned since puppy. pitbull has a violent spasm, ripping up her face, biting her lip off. 10 secs later pitbull acts totally normal as if nothing happened. It's nothing personal with these dogs; it just seems as though selective breeding has encoded some violent surprises into the breed. and from what i've read, there are breeds more prone to biting, but with pitbulls the damage is severe because of their aggressiveness and jaw structure.

The fact that religion still plays a significant role in human society is about the only legitimate argument I can think of for attempting to refute evolution. Ignorance prevailing is one thing, clinging to it in desperation and fear is entirely another - the toys and weapons change, but not really all that much else... The fact that people take mind-altering, hallucinogenics, think it enhances their performance, and proudly spew off on it on the intrafucking web, and then posit some type of personal wisdom transcending the beliefs of billions over millenia - that's a truly legitimate argument to refute evolution. ? truth in numbers?

i wouldn't skip over it if pertinent to your claims, oh samsaric sufferer. logical consistency is the domain of science (as well as buddhism), although i will agree, left lane blocking offers a profoundly powerful opportunity for the practice of patience (i do put it differently!)

The ones who label all religions as evil are about as idiotic and reactionary as Pat Robertson, and usually don't even friggin' know what "religion" means.

I can't believe jayb you endorse such a level of violence. but that's another subject.... doesn't it seem that certain breeds should be allowed to die out? i think more of german shepherds, where selective breeding has deteriorated them so badly that every older one i see can barely drag its ass along the ground. how fucked up is that? we KNOW this fate awaits them, yet we continue breeding them. the pitbull would be another breed to consider for this fate, methinks.
