  1. Bullshit. The proliferation of paramilitary federal SWAT teams inevitably brings abuses that have nothing to do with either drugs or terrorism. Many of the raids they conduct are against harmless, often innocent, Americans who typically are accused of non-violent civil or administrative violations. . . . a SWAT team from the Food and Drug Administration raided the farm of Dan Allgyer of Lancaster, Pa. His crime was shipping unpasteurized milk across state lines to a cooperative of young women with children in Washington, D.C., called Grass Fed on the Hill. Raw milk can be sold in Pennsylvania, but it is illegal to transport it across state lines. The raid forced Allgyer to close down his business.

  3. Shur, and maybe you-all can nominate someone without all the class-warfare rhetoric and dicktater tendencies? Someone with actual leadership experience? Like, one of them uniters? You already know my pick.
  4. Looks like some animals are more corrupt than others: Slate "As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation. Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors. Other people with ties to the company made donations as well. And shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock. At the time, both Rosatom and the United States government made promises intended to ease concerns about ceding control of the company’s assets to the Russians. Those promises have been repeatedly broken, records show."
  5. Oh yeh, and repeal that bullshit law where the police get to keep what they seize.
  6. Probably one place where libtards and conservatards agree. Police need to be demilitarized. Take away all their tactical looking shit. Black beanies, parachute cord rifle slings, dark sunglasses, cammo. (Why do they need cammo in an urban or suburban setting anyhow?) Take away their armored vehicles. Let them keep revolvers. Maybe shotguns too. With wood stocks. Bicycles are a plus. Good way to meet the folks you serve.
  7. Nice trip! I used to look at Gardner across the Methow Valley from Studhorse Mountain and wonder what it was like up there.
  8. Again, your facts are just plain wrong. (No surprise by now.) The Democrats had a 60-vote supermajority in the Senate when the cloture vote was taken to move the ACA forward on Christmas Eve, 2009. Buck, you really need to reassess your information diet. Maybe mix in a little FOX or CBS with your Huff, MSNBC, Mother Jones? Just a thought. Sorry, but you really are an idiot.
  9. Gotta give it to you Buck, the conspiracy angle is always entertaining for the first ten or twenty seconds. Unfortunately, I find it getting more and more difficult to engage 9/11 nutjob-truther types like you. In any event, I'm sure the populist messages already frothing up from the political left pre-2016 will find fertile soil in that soft noggin of yours. Better ignore Rachael for now, and stick to those ADD-type tasks that I'm sure you're really good at.
  10. Obama and his Dems simply stole some 700Bn from Medicare and gave it to a more reliable constituency. Again, Ivan, there was no compromise. This is a fantasy that you choose to believe. This whole thing was rammed down our throats; sold on lies. Hillarycare would have been an even bigger debacle--but it never had any chance of passage. Zero. I have no doubt that the left considers Obamacare an incremental step back toward this 1993 would-be disaster. In fact, I think you've even admitted as much here. And look at the abortion of a bill you Dems came up with. You alone. Gut Obamacare. Gut the old system too. Replace it with fee for service and catastrophic coverage options.
  11. And yet, it keeps. on. going. Sadly, some of the libtards here never had 100 points to lose.
  12. Umm, methinks your recollection of history is kinda fuzzy math there, Ivan. There was no compromise. Dems had most of the votes--and lied to get the last few they needed. Frankly, I'd love to keep the parts you mentioned re dropped coverage, pre-existing, refusal to pay, etc. A lot of that last bit is still going on. Admittedly, the old status quo was never free market either. If only you libtards would just stick to regulating--and would stop trying to grab hold of the steering wheel.
  13. Yep. Not fit to govern. Corruption is boring when itza D.
  14. The coolest feature of Obamacare is the increasing fine you will get if you don't buy insurance. I am hoping something similar is passed for healthy food and proper housing. I mean, if an ordinary Joe/Jane can't afford to live on the lake, well, hey, they should be made to pay! Even if they have no money, you see. Of course, the stupid people will never fall for this--so we're gonna have to lie to get it passed. And I mean lie, like, big time. And while we're at it, let's see if we can collapse the whole system with a few dozen million illegals...
  15. The sad thing is that everyone knew State Auditor Troy Kelly was dirty before he was elected. Sadder still, the libtard zombie hordes who voted him into office simply because he had a "D" next to his name. You libturds aren't fit to govern.
  16. Someday, when I hang up my climbing gear, I hope to point my Zuki DR650 south and head for Punta Arenas.
  17. Their second series, "Long Way Down" was a lot better. Scotland to South Africa. Ethiopa looks really cool--Namibia too.
  18. Similarly, from the age of adventure, you might like this one. First guy to circumnavigate the globe on a motorcycle in the 1930s. It's on my re read list.

  20. Lucas, Do you know where I can find a print of that incredible painting of Mount Olympus he did long ago?
  21. Hope you weren't confused by the logic above: ttk=LCD; ow
  22. Special K, pictures plus copy and paste is still not, like, using real words of your own. Please go back and try again. C'mon, just three or four sentences. You can do it!
  23. Hmmm, WWI, Wilson; WWII, FDR; Korea, Truman; Vietnam, JFK/LBJ; Bosnia/Kosovo, Clinton; Libya, Obama. It's certainly implied--and the fact that 80-something percent of Obama-care recipients are fully subsidized here in Washington State leads to the conclusion. And don't forget: "If you like the doctor you have, you can keep 'im. If you like the insurance you have. . . "
  24. OW, your reply just shows how black and white your world really is. The only thing shameful here is your inability to think outside the box you have built around yourself. It's called nuance--and you ain't got any. [*]War? Does anyone really want it? What's this driver's point? [*]Gasoline? Does this driver think he/she has purchased absolution with a Prius--such that he can preach to the rest of us? [*]Free health Care? What freedoms is this driver willing to part with to get it? [*]Public transportation? See above. [*]"Choice?" Gotta love libtards who have no problem imposing death on the innocent/unborn--and life for perpetrators of the most horrific crimes imaginable. [*]"Choice?" v.2 Gotta love libtards who couldn't give a rat's ass about freedom and choice--except on this one topic. [*]Fun and money. I'll bet you've spent a lot on climbing gear over the years. Nothing wrong with that--unless you see fit to lecture the rest of us on the back of your Prius. [*]Coexistence is the ideal--if it works for everyone. Unfortunately your "tribe's" idea of it requires the rest of us to accept your other beliefs. [*]Recall Walker. How'd that work out for your tribe? In short, OW, you once again disappoint with your myopic worldview and stated sense of self-importance. What you seem to say here is, basically, "if you don't believe what I do, you are a (your words) 'selfish/racist/fascist/the[ist].'" I mean this in all sincerity when I say that it is troubling to see such a great guy express such a hateful, narrow point of view. There is some in between. Even TTK understands this. How sad that you don't.
  25. Feel the contempt. In any event, I'll bet that venn has a lot of intersected space.
