High climb, I will bet that you are the youngest person on this thread. By the way you just posted you are to be applauded. I spent many years as a druggie until 6 years ago when I finally cleaned up.You are possibly saving years of headaches with your attitude.Young and wise BRAVO and have a happy life.

Remember Lambert, I have met you . Yes I am 44years old and from what I saw in FAR better shape than you ever will have the discipline to get into.Don't even try to deny it.
-
Yeah, Bonzo I am sure you will . Boy sure hope I don't run into you.
-
Once again Eric You WERE e-mailed and called repeatedly I was very concerned about you coming out here for no reason. You still have the ignorance to think I should have gone climbing with you instead of seeing my father on his death bed. What an idiot . As for special k and Lambone Losers , Special K says everybody give Dan shit .What apussy loser. I am sure that if anyone confronted you out there you wouldn't be kickin no balls. Like I said before the losers are everywhere.
-
Mid Life crisis ? thats it you've gone toooooo far
-
Hey Lameboy You little wimp . I remember meeting you at v-world I seriously doubt you are half as good as you ever told your mother you were. as far as my climbing ability I take it seriously and have learned and done alot this last year . Seriously put alot into it. Your remarks are totally off base. My opinion of stoners and thier lack of character are justified . You are irresponsible and careless . Nice language fella you must have a short memory..Dan
-
Bonzo you hard skiing stud you. Is it the dope that enables you to make assumptions about people that you haven't ever met or is it your herb enhanced intelligence ..wow man . For some reason I thought this would be an activity with serious individuals involved . Just goes to show the losers are everywhere.

Stoners are just another hazard on the slopes and on climbs. Those who are truly responsible climbers wouldn't dream of getting high while out there.I dumped 2 climbing partners who were smart enough to think just because I wasn't smoking I didn't mind they do it in my presence.Uptight ? not at all but this stuff has it's place and it is not in my face or as another objective hazard. We have enough to be concerned with out there. I know it makes you ski better or climb better (B.S.) When you fall in that crevasse remember the loops don't go around your dick and neck. Too bad we have to deal with the idiots out there.

I am trying to get a group of at least 4 together for a Jan. attempt on Mt. Rainier via the Gib Ledge. There are 2 of us so far. I have 6 attempts and 3 summits all this past summer. The other person is more experienced and has 8 Rainier climbs.Trying to get people together early and get together before hand and make sure we are all dialed in as a team and do some refresher crevasse practice on a day trip up to the flats beforehand. Thanks ..Dan

Good Cavey ,there is hope for you after all. Just yankin' your chain man .Don't get serious about this stuff ....God bless
-
Hey Cavey I hate to lower myself to your level but what the hey. First of all I have never asked you for any beta you AIRBORNE GROUPIE.After seeing your posts for the last few months all that comes to mind is LACK OF CHARACTER. Not exactly an airborne characteristic(but how would you know that)LEG

Looking for at least 1 partner for the D.C. route Oct 1-2 RMI is still summiting and keeping the route in shape.

A light bulb just went on in my head . Why in the world would any serious person with a life . Bother communicating with the bunch on this site . Grow up, do you people realize how stupid you sound . I am signing off this site for life . But I am sure i will get some hate E-mails anyway . Hope you people climb better than you sound . I bet your mothers are very proud.

Looks like panther has found a new pen name ...too predictable.
-
Yeah right , your not going anywhere, fantasy boy
-
Panther what does my newbie status have to do with talking as you say "smack". to you?? A loser is a loser.I don't care what you think about me .At least I show my name . I have said it before and I will say it again. You are a coward . All other replies by P-BOY shall be ignored.Oh did I mention that I will be doing RAINIER on Mon/Tue you are welcome to join but I would like you to bring your prusiks (those things you use to get yourself out of a crevasse).I hear the record for the youngest person to summit the "R" is 10 years old . By the way you sound ,if you hurry that record will be toast . Lets go for the record man!!! O.K. now you have me curious. I'll be by probably on Thr. to join up,after I get back from Rainier......Dan
-
Have your mother explain what is going on.Don't worry everything will be O.K.

Went to V-world yesterday to see who this Lambone guy was that Panther was so rude with the other day. Very nice person gave me a WAC discount that is very inexpensive. It was nice to put a face with the posts . I'll bet that most all of you people out there are positive individuals( Panther if you are going to call people names like the one you used the other day . It has no effect when you are hiding behind anonymity,in fact very cowardly.Stop it and be the man we feel you probably are.
-
Your absolutely correct Chongo . Keep your eyes open and everyone should be fine.No way I'm gonna rope up on the Muir Snowfield.Even though the D.C. is in great shape the real problems with crevasses don't start until the traverse from the Flats to the bottom of the Cleaver. Even then I only saw one that we crossed that made me a little nervous. After the moat on the bottom of the cleaver things are pretty uneventful. at least thats the way it was a couple of weeks ago. I am going again Mon/Tue let you know what it is like then..

Thanks for the info I will try the moleskin. Yes this will be 4 if I summit (actually 5th attempt ,one on the emmons route)When you had the surgery could you walk at all (thinking about work).....Thanks again Dan
-
More than likely there will be a bunch of wands around those crevasses real soon if not there already.
-
Thanks both Ted and Courtney I will definetly try the skin with the duct tape and the lace adjustment on the decent . Courtney unfortuneatly I am doing the D>C. route again since at my skill level it is about the only route in decent enough shape to climb . The Emmons is in fair shape but a better chance of summiting on the D.C. and the people who are going with me really want to summit. we planned this climb via the internet months ago and I didn't realize that I would be sick of this route yet ( I am). Hopefully next yrear will be different or this winter (jan -feb)I can get a group together for a shot.thanks again....Dan

Dan_Larson replied to Cpt.Caveman's topic in Climber's Board
I have only been to V-World in Seattle once but the woman behind the counter was both friendly and helpful.Turned me onto WAC and was an all around pleasant person.
