Cooperative? Does that mean agreeing? Or is there room for disagreement in international relations? Kyoto bad treaty. Smart to blow it off. Youll have to define cooperation in the context of international relations much better if you want to go down this road.
-
Well it is easy to imagine what we'd be like if we were belligerent - imagine Eastern Europe after WW2. My point was international cooperation is not a product of the UN or some other organization.
-
Mattp - It seems that you are confusing the UN with cooperation between nations. I remind you of the Concert of Europe and the Second World War. Read the article in Commentary. Thos suggesting that the story appears only in Fox reveal the limited range of the media they are exposed to. This in turn explains why they are not fair judges of media bias. Cheers, PP

Fergit the rope. Distel - What's the hardest boulder problem you have heard about on the westside?

Jim you are amazing. First I was pointing out how your comment directred at me was factually in error. SInce I posted twice I wasn't "keeping" doing anything and nothing was trashed. Now you bring up anti-semitism. What I brought up was an example of how Kerry appears to be telling untruths. Something many claim Bush is doing about his days in the National Guard - a subject you brought into this thread. Please show how I was "anti semitic baiting". I stand waiting. I think again you are making personal smears and not addressing facts. I was indeed poking fun at you about Amy Goodman. PP

Whoa Jimbo! There were five posts to this thread. The first by me showing the the faces of John erry and Private Pyle. Please show me how I "keep" changing the subject when my old ones get trashed. Why is it that you always go for the personal attack? Democracy Now! Stop the Attacks and start the debates! PP

[O]ne of the first things Kerry did at the meeting [with Jewish leaders] was to blame his aides for the mention of Carter and Baker as possible envoys in his December speech--a claim that several participants double-checked as soon as they walked out the door. The names, Kerry said, had been inserted by mistake, and he had even asked that they be removed. The problem is, in the speech itself, Kerry said, "There are a number of uniquely qualified Americans among whom I would consider appointing, including President Carter. ... And, I might add, I have had conversations with both President Clinton and President Carter about their willingness to do this." Kerry spokesperson Stephanie Cutter even confirmed to The Boston Globe in December that he had spoken with Carter. Today, the campaign offers this explanation: The candidate eventually did speak with Carter--but only after noticing that a draft of his speech said that he spoke with Carter. link If Kerry instructed his aides to remove Carter's name as a possible envoy from the speech, then why did he go ahead and meet with Carter just because the to-be-corrected draft of the speech said he'd met with him? Jim are you and J_B having a mini Pub Club before Amy Goodman?

Link First Line: "And yet another defiant American Government. Can someone remind me why we're even in the NAFTA with these crooks? " Last line: "Canada's softwood industry has been getting back on its feet in recent months as timber prices climbed. An improving U.S. economy has also boosted demand. " ?????

Now that I know what you goal is is I would say that you would be better off climbing Freeway or Liberty Bell than the U-Wall.
-
This will sound stupid but at Exit 38 on the right side of the Sub-Station are several very short routes with anchors about 20’ off the deck. I bet it would be easy to practice setting up hauling systems there. I have never seen anyone climb them. I know it sounds silly but it would be a productive use of an hour or two after work. As far as preparing for walls since you are in B-Ham I say go north (and forget about the paragraph above)! Uncle Ben’s, Cannabis Wall, Wrist Twister are all good routes. Plan on spending the night out on Uncle Ben’s for even more fun. It has a variety of climbing including slab, easy cracks, hooking, mixed free and aid pitches and traverses. Great fun! PP

Wow brock, a confessed liar, and Soros are off to a good start. Check out this super “fact correcting” write up! Now read this and check out the date. Why isn’t this mentioned? Here are a few other facts: Unemployment bottomed out in April 20o0 and rose steadily thereafter during the Clinton Administration. Link The Federal Reserve lowered the Fed Funds rate in an emergency move “in light of weakening sales and production” which occurred during the Clinton Administration. Link GDP growth declined remarkably in the 3Q 2000 and despite 9/11 grew in 4Q under Bush. link PP

BIG BOI WANTS KATE BUSH TO PRODUCE NEW OUTKAST ALBUM 27/11/2003 21:19 OUTKAST hip-hop star BIG BOI has a surprising musical hero - eccentric British singer KATE BUSH. The MISS JACKSON rapper - real name ANTWAN PATTON - credits his teenage musical development to Bush, and he's still so infatuated with the reclusive star he wants to track her down and get her to produce songs for his duo's next album. He says, "My uncle introduced me to Kate Bush's music when I was about 14 years old, and that s*** opened my mind up. The first one I got was THE KICK INSIDE, then I bought THE HOUNDS OF LOVE, then the THE SENSUAL WORLD. "She was so bugged out man! But I felt what she was talking about in the songs. MOTHER STANDS FOR COMFORT, RUNNING UP THAT HILL. My uncle would explain what the songs stood for. Like THE MAN WITH THE CHILD IN HIS EYES and all that s***. "I thought, 'Wow! She's so f***ing deep! I was infatuated with her, still am. I gotta track her down! I just found out that she was producing all that s*** herself! She's so f***ing dope and so underrated and off the radar. "So hopefully on the next record you're going hear OutKast and Kate Bush do at least two or three songs."

I thought this thread was about this! -
Jason - Could you be thinking of the using epoxy to seal a non-glue in anchor? I have heard the arguement you are raising relative to that practice but not to glue in anchors. Pp

In a less extreme way that is in fact the situation for several groups and it is the reason African-Americans have a negative return. Fixing the problem by increasing the age of retirement works partially because they get screwed even more!

Minx that comment was directed at Slappy, you should have been at 38 - Sunday morning was fine after a bit of mist.

Guns N' Roses' anthem Sweet Child O' Mine has the greatest guitar riff ever, according to a poll in a music monthly. Total Guitar magazine's readers put it in top place, ahead of Nirvana's grunge anthem Smells Like Teen Spirit. Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love came third, followed by Deep Purple's Smoke On The Water. Total Guitar editor Scott Rowley said: "To a new generation of guitarists, Guns N' Roses are more thrilling than the Sex Pistols." He added: "This poll shows the so-called canon of classic rock - the Led Zeppelins, Eric Claptons, Jimi Hendrix - is as popular as ever, but being added to all the time. "Riffs are an interesting measure of people's tastes because they're usually easy to play and very catchy - they're the hook of the song." The magazine's last poll, conducted five years ago, saw Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love top the list, followed by Smoke On The Water and Layla, recorded by Eric Clapton as Derek and the Dominoes. More than 2,000 readers took part in the poll. The top 21 riffs: LTIA Pt. II - King Crimson 1. Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns N' Roses 2. Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana 3. Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin 4. Smoke On The Water - Deep Purple 5. Enter Sandman - Metallica 6. Layla - Derek & The Dominoes/Eric Clapton 7. Master Of Puppets - Metallica 8. Back In Black - AC/DC 9. Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) - Jimi Hendrix 10. Paranoid - Black Sabbath 11. Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne 12. All Right Now - Free 13. Plug In Baby - Muse 14. Black Dog - Led Zeppelin 15. Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love - Van Halen 16. Walk This Way - Aerosmith w Run DMC 17. Sunshine Of Your Love - Cream 18. No-One Knows - Queens Of The Stone Age 19. Paradise City - Guns N' Roses 20. Killing In The Name - Rage Against The Machine

Besides it's downright unpatriotic driving all those excess miles! Heck you can't live more than 5 miles from Stone Gardens.

1. No PRB here. 2. I think wire brushing most often makes holds smaller over the long term. 3. Minx/Slappy - That bad eastside karnma will get you everytime.
