christophbenells Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 There is a very large, very loose block at the top belay on Free For All. it is about 4 x 3 x 3 feet and wobbles a couple inches with a slight tap of your foot. The ledge that this block sits on is slanted at about 45 degrees. It is the block the that makes up the climber's right side of the ledge that you stand on. You stand on this block at the belay. ivan Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 whole damn place is falling apart - try not to trundle when the oil train's going by, eh? Quote
stevetimetravlr Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Mass wasting sucks. If you are nervous as a sheep in Ivan's backyard, go to the Dods anchors instead, over to the right. Quote
JosephH Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Hmmm, which block exactly? Climbed it Saturday and didn't notice anything. The first anchor is the little perch in the dihedral below the offwidth. Are you talking about the blocks when you first come up off the vertical section (and also where Dods meets FFA) where you could in theory squeeze on over to the top of FFS and Windsurfer? Quote
christophbenells Posted July 22, 2016 Author Posted July 22, 2016 not the anchors below the Dodd off width, the one to the left of that. Quote
stevetimetravlr Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 That block has always rocked like that. I'd be more worried about the hollow flake on Windsurfer, then that block. Quote
