sportnoob Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 (edited) I tend to wear lightweight softshell gloves the most commonly (like the OR Vert or OR Stormtracker) around here when it's cooler out. I also tend to wear a windshirt that has stretchy cuffs that are narrow (BD Alpine Start). The junction of the 'velcro - closure' of these style gloves is annoying vis-a-vis the tapered stretchy cuff. Skin is always exposed, it pushes the stretchy cuff up, I find it annoying to stretch the cuff out over the wrist closure, in general it's just sand in my vag. What I think I want is a glove of a similar weight as the OR Vert or Stormtracker, but with a gauntlet instead of an 'undercuff' design. I have come up short looking around. Maybe there's a good reason why such a design isn't popular (and that reason just escapes me)? Any suggestions? Maybe I just need to HTFU? Edited April 15, 2015 by sportnoob Quote
mmeyers Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 (edited) Rab Latok or Baltoro? or find some gardening gloves? Edited April 15, 2015 by mmeyers Quote
iceclimber Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 A pair of the original MH Hydra gloves might fit the bill. The Hydra Pro that replaced them had slightly different (worse for me) fit and I can't speak to what the current generation of Hydra glove is like. Quote
Buckaroo Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 I think you want the O.R. Arete. A lightweight gortex with a gauntlet and a drawstring. I hope they still make them because they really stay dry. Quote
