spiderman Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 Does anyone know about the current bolt conditions on the Sherriffs Badge? The book gives a tell tale of many ancients bolts that will be found along the way. Has anyone rebolted this classic climb? Or at least rebolted the belays! Dru, would you ask Luc or another squish guru who'd know? Thanks. Quote
Travis Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 Here's a link to a TR. Sounds like the manky rivet ladder will be the least of your worries. http://www.matthewbuckle.net/climb/tripreports/deepend.html Quote
bigwalling Posted January 11, 2003 Posted January 11, 2003 It is the most popular harder aid route in Squamish. I doubt it is too bad. Even old 1/4" bolts can hold quite a bit. You could always just replace one of the 1/4"er's with a 3/8" stainless steel bolt. Quote
Dru Posted January 12, 2003 Posted January 12, 2003 Judging from the amount of people who do it the condition of the bolts is probably not your major concern. Well-trafficed routes tend to have adequate hardwear. Quote
