Dylan Colon Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Trip: North Sister - Southeast Ridge Date: 5/31/2014 Trip Report: Some of you may remember that I asked about North Sister conditions a few months back. In the spirit of better late than never, here's what came of it: http://dylanontherocks.wordpress.com/2014/08/13/the-sinister-sister/ A slow, but successful and fun climb. Gear Notes: pickets and a fluke Approach Notes: Mostly dry approach then snow in the last mile or two up to the ridge. Quote
bedellympian Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Nice work. North is intimidating the first time with that exposed choss. You should consider climbing the Oregon Cascades in the winter... sounds like you have some experience with ice. There are many routes that are quite moderate snow/ice and much safer in the right conditions. Quote
DJTS Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Care to share some of these moderate routes? I just moved to Oregon and I am assembling my to do list. Any info would be appreciated. Quote
