jlau Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 I have a ton of old climbing gear for sale most from the late 70, some of it I might even just give to a good home. Might be cool find if you happen to collect climbing gear. This is all stuff that I inherited from my dad recently and I just don't really have the space since it competes with my own gear for garage territory. Some of the things I have; -Medium 70's ish REI brand down jacket -Medium 70's ish didn't check the brand, down pants (Jacket and pants were used for a Denali summit back in like '79) -Not sure what fill - duck down non-hooded sleeping bag. I slept in it down to around 35 degrees comfortably. -A random assortment of old ice screws - would never set in ice for sure, but they are neat if you collect such things -GoreTex similar fabric bivy, used on Denali -down booties -Rock climbing books by Royal Robins -Pair of ascenders -leather strapped steel crampons -various Steel caribiners, I've taken all I need for organizing gear in my garage and the rest just chill in a crate. -and the crown jewel... Lowe Hummingbird ice tool. If any of these items interest you give me a holler. Some of it could still be usable gear for sure. I just ended up getting most of it after I already had my own modern equivalent. Photos can be provided if they didn't attach to the post like I'm hoping they will. Quote
