Mountaineer's Creek/Colchuck Lake road open?

Does anyone know if the road to Mountaineer's Creek/Colchuck Lake trail head is still open/passable?

As of last weekend it was and I'm about 90% sure it still is. That's one thing the ranger station in 11worth usually knows so you can always call them.

Just got down from Colchuck. Road is definitely open, about 4" of snow, decent traction. If you're going up high, watch for windslab in the couloirs. Scary whoomphing and fracture propagation in NBC today. Also, plenty of wallowing!
