kevino
I used the technos for a couple years, really liked them for alpine rock, long days, etc. I picked up some five ten shoes and they're good but are lined and get super stinky and warm! I looked at scarpa's website and didn't really find anything that looked like a good replacement, and I can't really justify spending $140 on la sportiva mythos. Any suggestions for your favorite alpine rock shoe? Unlined, not downturned...
Jake_Gano
Take a look at the Scarpa Helix. I just picked up a set for the same purposes you describe and it seems to fit your bill. More on them after I've taken them out a few time times.
jrc
I guess they're lined and stupidly expensive but I've been thinking of replacing my techno's with the TC pro. They seemed like a nice shoe and didn't kill my toes at the demo day. stiffer than the mythos which I think are much less stiff than the technos. The technos have way more feel than my 5.10 newtons...I also thought the la sportiva nago was rather comparable with a shape that was friendly on my feet and a build that was reasonable for long trad routes.
