I guess I will have to figure out for myself someday. A friend of the family climbed the West peak with his boy scout troop, in '49 if I remember correctly. Or was it '39? Anyway, a long time ago, and he still remembers it well, though not with much fondness. Something about sucking on prune pits. Quote
