Eric K Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 I currently have a pair of silver trangos. I love the weight and how they climb, but they crunch my toes together. When I replace these next season, I will be looking for a boot that can climb very similar to my trangos and fits my feet which are not super wide but look like a upside down triangle (so my pinky toe is crushed). I am not sure if any of that made sense. Anyway who makes lightweight high performance mountain boots for people with wide feet. I have heard scarpa boots have a little more room in them but I have yet to try a pair. Thanks Eric Quote
ADKMan Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 You are correct, Scarpa boots generally tend to be a bit wider in the toe box. I have a pair of Scarpa Phantom guides that fit me like a glove and my forefoot is pretty wide. This is a different type of boot than the Trango but Scarpa makes a number of other "mountain boots" that may work for you depending on your specific needs. Quote
B Deleted_Beck Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Sportivas KILL my pinky toe, Scarpas do not. Quote
giza Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Scarpas are a good fit but unfortunately don't climb as well as Sportivas IMO Quote
Alan Trick Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 (edited) Wearing a La Sportiva for me is like wearing a brand new rock shoe, only you have to walk in it for hours on end, and it never gets better. Edit: typo Edited January 15, 2013 by Alan Trick Quote
jakedouglas Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 My toes are a bit wider and I ended up with Mammut Mamook GTX. Nothing else I tried on really came close to fitting comfortably. Quote
