WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Climber Lost in Whiteout on Mt Hood

Recommended Posts

Well I think we have allowed ourselves to get off track on this one.

Since we're sufficiently off course, May I ask which ADK peak you finished on? I'm up to 18 (been working on the list for 10+ years). Bagging those suckers from WA takes a long time...

Layback, I finished on Allen, we had an enjoyable 13 hour day in the pouring rain. It wasn't my favorite climb but bringing my "journey" to a conclusion was very satisfying.

Best of luck with your quest for the 46!

You certainly didn't finish on an "easy" peak. Nice work. I'm hoping to either finish on Colden via the Trap Dike in winter or on Whiteface in summer so my kids and parents can drive the auto road to the top and meet me (and my wife) with a big cake and some booze. Two different options on either side of the spectrum but both equally intense endings to what has been a very long, calucated, time-consuming, awesome journey.

As you all were...
