Kitergal Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Trip: Mail Box Peak - Up Date: 11/18/2012 Trip Report: First hike in years.....and I survived! Thank you p90x!! It was wet, but not miserable, and the boulder field had at least a foot of snow....and it was still dumping snow, sideways! Did I mention the wind was cranking up there as well? Yeah, pretty decent hike. Right knee KILLED on the decent....outside, right knee....felt like getting stabbed by knife. Anyone know what that's about? Survived....hot tub at home was amazing! Would love to post pics, but still haven't figured out how! Quote
matt_warfield Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 (edited) You should get a medal for doing this hike at this time of year. As far as your knee, it along with shoulders is really the Achilles heel of our anatomy. Along with our brain. Perhaps your medal was in the mailbox. Is there still a fire hydrant up there? obwan Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 That's a ditto - that hill is really a grunt, good for you! Next time wait for a clear blue sky for a nice 360 degree view. Probably just a knee strain - going down that thing is brutal. Ice and IB Quote
