Stripped Nomic Masselotte Bolt

The hex bolt on the masselotte has stripped on one of my Nomics making removal of the weight impossible. Suggestions? Drill it out? Some special bolt remover?

Have you tried hammering a torx tool in to the hex hole?

1. spray the works with penetrating oil. Wait a minute or two.

2. Drill it out slightly deeper than the hex hole with a bit slightly smaller than the torques drive bit you'll use to remove it.

3. hammer the torques drive bit in

4. remove.

You need a screw extractor, sometimes called an easyout.

 

 

If it's really stuck, spray some PB Blaster penetrating lube on the bolt first.

Thanks for the solutions; the problem was solved by just drilling the bolt out.
