elaine Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Hello, I have the Smoot Falcon guide to climbing in Washington, but I've heard there is one specifically for the North Cascades and Mazama area climbs. When looking on Amazon, I saw a spiral book by Bryan Burdo called, "North Cascades Rock." Is this the right book for the area? Thanks for any leads! Kellie Quote
Quarryographer Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 The one you found is a great find I would buy it! I have a copy as well. There is stuff in there that no other guidebook has, and it has been out of print for some time. The guidebook people are probably referring to is Mazama rock. A much newer book with Goat wall and all the other newer crags which I bought at the Mazama store. I'd imagine they still have some copies there.. Quote
elaine Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 Many thanks. I'll grab a copy off Amazon then! Quote
mattp Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 The current guide is not the spiral guide that you are talking about. It is self-published, I think, and is called "Mazama Rock." I bet you can buy it there. I got my copy at the Mazama store and there is now a climbing shop next door. Quote
elaine Posted June 14, 2012 Author Posted June 14, 2012 Well, bummer! I've already ordered it. I'll pick up the new book upon arriving up there. Thanks, Matt! Quote
