Thinking of heading up tonight and climbing tomorrow AM, until I read the NWAC forecast, I have only been up there in later June, I am sort of assuming it will be a no go up that gully?

I would wait a week, avy is too high.

couple years back a lot of big trees were taken out.

That was an impressive slide. Carried all the way down to within about 2 miles of the trailhead, way below the tree line.

I skied the B-day tour and Kangaroo Ridge couloir on Saturday. Snow was consolidated (corn) pretty much everywhere. Cornices were a non issue as well. Spires are mostly snow free.

Look at NWAC at the off season avy conditions, large parts of the back bowl can slide off.

the spires also have these isolated pockets of snow around the summits that melt and slide off, not huge but plenty big enough to wipe you off the climbs.

Climbed Liberty Crack early one year (early June?) and heard a couple of large pockets coming off, then we did the Medussas' roof variation and had to cross one of the pockets, scary.
