RikkD
Trip: Mt. Baker - CD Date: 10/18/2011 Trip Report: A couple weeks ago I went up to Baker with a couple of friends for my first day of skiing for the season!!! The plan was to climb to the top via the coleman-demming, ski down and be back in bellingham by 3 for class and work. We got to the trailhead at 3:30 in the morning and were hiking by 4. We reached the top of pumice ridge by 11 and had to turn around so that I wouldn't be late for a midterm. It was a great ski down and we made it back to b'ham just in time for the test.... but the test was canceled !!!! oh well. It was a beautiful bluebird day in the mountains and I'm super stoked for the adventures this season will bring!! here are some pictures from the trip! Lisa_D
Gorgeous photography, and very appropriate for a WWU student to know how to work AND play (I'm a Western alum)! Too bad about the test.
RikkD
Haha, ya I was super bummed when I heard the test was canceled, but its alright I've been on top twice this summer already, and there will be many more baker ski days this winter!
