Greg_W Posted October 1, 2002 Author Posted October 1, 2002 Except that the Pyramid has some astronomical/religious significance, if you look into it. The Oak Island thing is totally baffling as there isn't really any discernible reason for all the shenanigans; aside from the treasure thing which there is NO evidence of. Quote
Dru Posted October 1, 2002 Posted October 1, 2002 I think Oak Island is a combination of high water table and buried tree routes. I honestly dont think a bunch of pirates actually construced something so complex. have they ever brought in archeologists to study it or is it all treasure hunters? Quote
Greg_W Posted October 1, 2002 Author Posted October 1, 2002 Not sure about the archeologists; I'll keep you updated. I think the treasurehunting to date has been a bit heavy-handed for true scientific archeology. They found an artificial beach that had been constructed over fabricated feeder channels and kept clear with a layer of coconut matting to act as a sort of filter fabric. Enough archeology has been done in the pit to document the disturbed layers and the foreign matters in the pit. Quote
