Winter Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 anyone have good info on the logistics of climbing in the bugaboos. daily camping fees - check the web if you need a bc backcountry permit - no where everyone gets their chicken wire car defenses from - at the trailhead if the 40 dollar guide is worth it - yes Quote
fern Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 in addition to the camping costs you should bring some extra donation dollars to pay for the wag bags (available at the applebee campground). Quote
chancho Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 just came back.. see trip report from wbk. tons of chicken wire at trail head. hike in is steep but short. Applebee is a great camping area! camping is $10 canadian per head per night, and you pay on arrival at the Kain Hut. The hut has daily weather forecasts. don't know about the guide... I would say it's straight forward if you have done some research on the routes ahead of time. There are great food containers at Applebee to keep away from critters. Quote
