just came back.. see trip report from wbk. tons of chicken wire at trail head. hike in is steep but short. Applebee is a great camping area! camping is $10 canadian per head per night, and you pay on arrival at the Kain Hut. The hut has daily weather forecasts. don't know about the guide... I would say it's straight forward if you have done some research on the routes ahead of time. There are great food containers at Applebee to keep away from critters.
