LonelySummit Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Anyone heading up after the Holiday today? I've got a party of 5 leaving for Muir on the morning of the 6th; summit day the 7th or 8th. Slow and steady wins the race..... Quote
Jordan Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Unless of course you're racing. Then fast wins the race. Quote
LonelySummit Posted July 11, 2011 Author Posted July 11, 2011 (edited) You are correct sir! The party had a couple guys at 500ft an hour, and 2 guys at 1100ft an hour, and one sick guy that stayed in the inn. After camping at Muir, then going back down to get the guy on day 2; we went up again to the flats - but no summit. Did see "spiderman", the awesome 10 year old and his dad summiting though; that was great. I will just get up Hood this weekend to get my fix. p.s. anyone find an ipod in a glissade chute? yapajake Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 How are the ski conditions on the snowfield right now? ie: What is the best time to plan a descent to get some decent turns in, or are we past that time. Thanks. Quote
