  1. OK, so not so much found as accidentally got put into my pack mistaking it for mine. I think your name was Elliot, from Seattle, we were climbing at Oasis on Saturday. Let me know how I can get it back to you. 206-351-5585
  2. Climbing partners bailed or have to work. Would like to climb this weekend. Possibly Tieton, Vantage, or L-worth. Mostly sport (I am just breaking into leading 11a on sport, climb some trad but dont lead very hard.) I can leave as early as tomorrow morning. willing to leave as late as saturday morning. 206-351-5585
  3. Unless of course you're racing. Then fast wins the race.
  4. I thought I had the weekend of the 21st off, but I do not... sorry.
  5. It was a blue bird day up there today. Above 7k there wasnt a cloud in the sky (except below you!) Snow conditions were perfect. Ingraham Direct would be the ticket for an easy ascent right now.
  6. We're always looking for new climbing partners. Trad, sport, alpine, you name it. Jordanpaulmiller@gmail.com is a good way to get a hold of me.
  7. I might be up for Baker. Route? One day or two?
  8. I was thinking about heading up there Monday-tuesday. Wasnt planning on summiting, (Was just gonna solo camp at muir or the flats) but I'd imagine I'm in decent enough shape if I get up there and I'm feelin froggy.
  9. Wanna go to Vantage or Tieton in the morning?
  10. Heading to Vantage (Or maybe tieton) and my climbing buddys probably arent heading out until Saturday morning but I'd like to head out Tomorrow (Friday) morning..... 206-351-5585
  11. I'll be flying in. I'm climbing Orizaba the week before then flying from Veracruz to Monterey.
  12. Just looking to get out and play today but cant find directions. Any help?
  13. Steve. Clearance is good enough. It's not a monster truck, but it is more than enough for logging roads and 99% of the approaches around here. average mpg is 20-22. I am 6'1" and can sleep in the back, but its a little tight with the lady back there because I fit better diagonally. and no problems as of yet...
  14. Well I've got one or two friends locally that are both waiting to see what happens with their job over the next week or so. If it pans out I will be going with them, if not, I'll get in touch with the two people on here that have expressed interest. The water ice might be out because of partner issues as well as it may or may not be in. Lots of routes to chose from though. I just dont want to be following a train up the thing.
  15. 98 Volvo V70 XC Wagon with AWD and the 2.4turbo. It is a tank and 190k on it and drives like a dream. Eats snow and ice. I'm addicted to my car and it was CHEAP.
  16. I could find VERY little info on the route. Even the guide book only has about two sentences on it. But it can be approached off of the trade route, as can the eastern glacier route which the book describes as the most difficult on the mountain heading up a narrow couloir at 60+ degrees. And lets face it, everything is difficult at 18 thousand feet! I'm not dead set on Serpent's head. I'm kind of a "Lets go and see what happens and who knows we might climb it a couple of times by a few diff routes while we're here" kind of guy. haha I figure I'll bring a long rope, all of my gear, and enjoy mexicos highest mountain and friendly people.
  17. Thanks for the advice. If all else fails, I'm sure I can scrounge up a partner at the camp grounds.
  18. I'm trying to put together my Feb climbing trip Schedule. Going to Pico De Orizaba first, and it looks like I'm going to solo that which is fine, but the following week (thinking 3rd or 4th week in Feb) I'd like to get some amazing rock climbing in, which I DO need a partner for but having a hard time finding. Sound like fun to anyone? Lots of sunshine and great rock in FEB! J-Tree would have a place to stay in Palm Desert. Would be dirt baggin it if I decide on El Potrero. Either way... cant beat it!
  19. Seriouly folks. Bad ass climb! ZERO permit fees. Cheap air fare. Room and board and a ride to the base of the mountain runs about 150 bucks for several days of room. It'd be a CHEAP way to get to 18K. Tallest Volcano in North America.
