I have been on vacation, sorry for late reply. Portaledge looks like the one in the catalog that I attached to the post. It has a fly that covers the entire ledge. I will try to post a picture of the one time I used it. Yes the rain fly is included.

Woodcutter - It is the Alpine Double Ledge based on comparing the ledge to A5 catalog. I will try to post actual picture of ledge during its only use.

John Middendorf's design is still far better than anything out there today. The only other ledge I would consider is the Fish ledge. Metolius makes a bomber ledge but for a double with fly you're looking at 30 lbs.

 

Middendorf made a titanium ledge for one of his expeditions. It was sub 10 lbs for ledge and fly. If you ask him, he'll provide the designs to build your own. They can be found on www.bigwalls.com. You'll notice the graphic on the site as the same from the front of that catalog posted above.
