pope Posted April 20, 2002 Posted April 20, 2002 Nice to hear from somebody who is entertained instead of offended ("....it's too negative.....it's too sexual.....it's...it's....pardon me while I pull my thumb out of my ass.....it's all too fantastic to belong on a mountaineering message board"). Now, it might be a little premature for assembling these ridiculous bits. In fact Dwayner and I just spoke this morning, and we've some special adventures planned which are certain to make our already cumbrously proportioned alpine balls all the larger. And if any of our alpine sisters want to buy us drinks and shows us their twins , we'll be sure to edit these anecdotes in such a way that they are palatable for a wider audience. Quote
nolanr Posted April 21, 2002 Author Posted April 21, 2002 All this talk about Pope got me thinking. We've all heard of the Boardman/Tasker Omnibus. Can you imagine if the above mentioned near legends combined all their tales in one fine piece of literary work? All the Big Lou sightings. Big Lou near-sightings. Big Lou non-sightings. Big Lou mugs travelling from one corner of the state to another. Something about wigs and cheerleader outfits. I'm not quite sure about that one. Adventures and misadventures w/ the ladies. Trolling for crunchy granola chicks w/ tambourines and beads. And, um, it might be a little embarrassing, but they couldn't leave out the unfortunate sleeping bag crapping incident (or incidents?). I think they even do a little bit of climbing, too. And hell, even if none of it is true and it's just a bunch of tall tales, it sure is entertaining. I think we could have a best seller on our hands here. Jon, Timm@y, can we get the guys a cash advance or something? Maybe the Caveman could come out of retirement to write the forward. Quote
nolanr Posted April 24, 2002 Author Posted April 24, 2002 Alright, well I'm anxiously awaiting the book whenever it comes out. Quote
sk Posted April 24, 2002 Posted April 24, 2002 If you eddited your ways of being in order to be less "offensive" you would NEVER see my twins. Quote
