The idiot politicians are always saying how governments should think like households, balancing their checkbooks and such. I know when I'm short on cash I sell some old shit. We could start small; how impressed would the bond traders and ratings agencies be if we offloaded Guam? The Aleutians to Russia? We could sell Puerto Rico back to the Spanish, oh wait, they ain't got no fucking money either...
