Farrgo
Anybody been in the area recently? Pictures to share? Has any of the snow from the late summer storms hung around?
kurthicks
I climbed genuine snice pitches with bits of actual ice last week on shuksan. I'm in the desert now, so i don't know how conditions have changed...
G-spotter
New snow has melted off below around 9000'+ even in the shade.
Alasdair
Here are some photos of the summit pyramid of shucksan  alasdairturner.blogspot.com  It was warm and rainy the next day, but I would be surprised if all of the snow is gone. There was a lot.
Farrgo
We'll I went up anyway to take a look... and it looks like July. I'd say we are at least a couple strong storm cycles away from having interesting conditions in the mountains. Â There is some snow on the BBs and maybe a veneer of ice... but still a ways to go. Â On a side note, the C.H. looks a lot less dodgy than it did earlier this season. A direct line in from the right looks like it may be in good shape right now. Dannible
Thats funny because this July there was ice and pow on the BBs. Sunbaked, thin, shitty ice, but ice. It's hot where I am. I can see ice forming up in places when it cools down a bit.
Farrgo
10/1/10 Â Dan did you climb on the BBs this past July? I've seen some winter remnants hanging late a few seasons earlier and wondered if anybody got after it.
Dannible
No, I was just skiing. I remember thinking it looked scary but climbable if you could get creative with pro.
