ckotke Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Hey guys, Just had a couple of questions? Anyone have any idea what the Tahoma Glacier is looking like right now? Considering it for this weekend but haven't seen much action on it from what I can find on the net. If you climbed that route before, would love to hear your advice on it also. Also, we are considering the Emmons for our back up route. Sounds like it is way in! But was wondering how the ice climbing opportunities are looking up at camp shurmann. I've never been up there but have heard there are some seracs you can have some fun on? Top rope? Thanks in advance!! Quote
ScaredSilly Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 My understanding in talking with the Rangers at the desk that no one has been on that side of the hill. However, given conditions on the parts of the hill I would venture to guess that the Tahoma is fine shape. Go for it. We hoped to get over there after doing the Finger but the winds made it unpleasant. Quote
