jonesy Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 normally i wouldn't mind the rain, but i was super stoked to climb with my bro, but the fing rain blows plus its super warm so that means its not snowing in the mountains either. this sucks i just had to rant to get this off my chest Quote
Don_Serl Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 welcome to the wet coast! i've got an ice climbing buddy who reckons that the local (SWBC) ice climbing web-info site ought to be called 'disappointment.com' rather than westcoastice.com - not so far off... and another (very good) ice climbing friend who says that the most important piece of equipment that a coastal ice climber can possess is a plane ticket to calgary. hold in there - winter's not over yet! cheers, Quote
ColinB Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I'm with you on this. Its 50 degrees and raining here. EPIC WEATHER FAIL. Quote
jonesy Posted January 19, 2010 Author Posted January 19, 2010 today would have been epic great weather haha how ironic I was following the weather all night and predictions were 90% chance 0 rain and then we end up with a rad day... bummer well I will get some climbing next time... hopefully pan dome next weekend... Glacier Girl Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Curse that damn warm wet weather! Side note: I was just up on Baker. You can't even see PanDome, it's coated with wet heavy snow. Let me know if it gets better. I've got my eye on that one for a mid-week escape. Quote
