Joshua tree in the winter?

does anyone know if joshua tree is warm enouph to climb at in early january? im heading to that area for work and was thinking of doing some clmbing. any info will help.

I've climbed many days in Josh in Jan and Feb.

It's a hit or miss trip, I have been there in Jan in 65 deg temps and other times snowing and blowing. Bring your gear, you will get pissed if there is good weather

What do you mean by "that area?" Area as in LA, or do you mean closer? If Josh is cold, consider San Diego, specifically Eagle Peak.

It's almost always sunny, the big factor that'll change the day from nice to frigid is the wind. I used to call the Circle-K in JT for a wind report, but these days there's great info at the NOAA website:

Everyone is soooo soft nowadays.Every day in Jt is 99% probability of good climbing weather.Its been in the 60s every day.Too harsh for you? Try SD. Its better anyway.

Spent Jan 1990 in JT, we climbed every other day. Spent every other day at lees gym or browsing food labels at Vons.
