Le Piston Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I don't mind the long slog, but I can't get the time off...Sorry! Good luck. Quote
JoshK Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Assuming we don't get a huge amnt of low elevation snow you shouldn't have to walk that far on the cascade river road. It was open to Eldo last week, and if this week is as warm as they are predicting, it will melt any new snow off that fell today. You should call the rangers before you go, but my guess is you'd be able to get to the TH, or at least within a few miles. Quote
RokIzGud Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 That would be quite the adventure though! Id be down but this time of yeah is horrible for me... Quote
iamgr8er Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 if the road is open i'd be willing to go. i can leave monday the 28th. Quote

As of today, the road is gated at the Eldorado TH. It is icy, but quite drivable (there is some rockfall on the road at one point that can be bypassed). The route is in great shape. Quote
