First Attempt Home Tool Sharpening Job

I followed the "so you want to sharpen your tools" article and this is what i came up with. I screwed up a little bit, but overall i'd say decent.

what are the notches on top of the pick for? Is that a drytool pick arrangement?

yeah its so i can get one placement then stack tools and pull up

I think that is going to offer resistance when you swing and especially when you clear your tool.
