Squalls Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 (edited) I am a Chiropractic Intern at Western States Chiropractic College in Portland Oregon. We are running a food drive for the Portland food bank from October 26th to November 21st. A few cans of food will cover your visit, and treatment. Anyone with injuries they need treated, nagging old injuries that might need some rehab, or would like some cheap chiropractic health care while helping out a good cause (Portland Food Bank)come on in. If anyone is interested shoot me a message and I will get you the exact details. Come in early in the food drive and you could probably get a couple treatment visits all for the price of a few cans of food. Sorry if this is a bit of spam, but it is for a good cause (Portland food bank), and some local climbers may benefit as well. Thanks Edited October 16, 2009 by Squalls Quote
Squalls Posted October 22, 2009 Author Posted October 22, 2009 No one interested in some cheap chiropractic care in Portland while supporting a good cause. Had a pretty good response over at Teton Gravity. Quote
Lafayette Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Just saw this, guess I don't troll the posts here enough. I'd be interested can you send me some more information? Quote
billcoe Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Just a note: these dudes need patients to graduate. The quality of care is excellent. I took Mike Layton up on it when he was in need, and was surprised at how thorough the first exam was. Despite being what I thought was going to be an unnecessary pain in the ass/waste of time as the long initial exam was mandatory, the highlight was that Mike identified 2 serious major issues that needed to be addressed by stretching. Once he identified the weaknesses, it was real obvious they were there and had been there all along, but I'd never noticed them before. Glad I did it, I still do the stretches he recommended back then and it's much better. Furthermore, my regular chiropractor has given me some stretches and advice that I'm convinced fixed a very chronically painful shoulder that climbing kept screwing up, Chrios do a lot more than just align your back bones. I learned about the good work they do originally for my back and became a believer when I'd helped physically-manually lifted 12,000 lbs of bolts off a tractor trailer that were in 200 lb kegs as our forklift was broken that day. Turns out that was a real real real bad and later painful idea LOL! Oh to be young strong and stupid..... So a chance to get some good quality care and help out poor folks, some budding Doctor and yourself is whats being discussed here I think. Quote
Squalls Posted October 22, 2009 Author Posted October 22, 2009 Thanks BillCoe, you are correct it is a chance to get some cheap health care, help out a good cause, and help a soon to be chiropractor get some good experience. You will get a complete exam as BillCoe says, and our attending physicians have seen just about everything. We do more then just the backs. Come in for some of those old nagging injuries maybe we can get rid of them, why not its next to free, while helping out a good cause. Quote
Squalls Posted October 23, 2009 Author Posted October 23, 2009 WillHocket sent you a PM with all the details Quote
grandpa Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 ...Chrios do a lot more than just align your back bones. +1 I'm a firm believer in the art and science of chiropractic. Have been for 34 years now. And yes for more than merely re-aligning things (although that has resolved many aches). Various streches and exercises as suggested have helped greatly over the years. I'd get in on this deal, but I'm not in Portland. Quote
Squalls Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 Food drive starts this week, shoot me a message if you want some cheap care to help a good cause. Quote
