tvashtarkatena Posted September 21, 2009 Share Posted September 21, 2009 Looks like a hericium at first glance, probably a hericium abietus (Conifer Coral hericium) if it was in our area growing on a conifer...usually doug fir. All the hericiums are delicious if fresh (but they don't last long), either raw or sauteed, plus they have no known poisonous lookalikes.
