johnthejuggler Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I'm working on a project where I take old climbing rope and recycle it into welcome mats and 3D sculptures. If anyone has any old climbing rope that is in OK shape but no longer good for climbing, I'd love to get hold of it. If it's in the Seattle, Bellevue and Renton area I can come pick it up. Please respond here or call me at 206-271-0562. Thanks, John Quote
CollinWoods Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 I dont have any extra ropes but it would be interesting to see what your work looks like... Quote
MarkMcJizzy Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Climbing gyms go through an incredible number of ropes. Contact one of them. Quote

Now worthless for climbing, but holds tremendous sentimental value. A bargain at $240. Will accept cash with three pieces of ID. Quote
johnthejuggler Posted July 7, 2009 Author Posted July 7, 2009 I contacted a couple of gyms and they suggested that in this forum there would be lots of people trying to get rid of old rope. I will post a pic or 2 of my work in a bit. Quote
