Price Glacier access

Can anyone tell me about access to the Price Glacier on Mt. Shuksan at this time of year? I have heard that the log crossing can be hard to find. Any beta?

Road's closed. You'll be hoofing it for quite a way before you have to worry about the log crossing, which is pretty easy to find if you head downhill in the right place, which is hard not to do.

Evidently the Hannegan Pass Road won't be closed for a few more weeks at which point you'll have an extra 4 miles to walk to trailhead. (right now it an extra 3 miles based on that report)

 

Agree with Choada that finding a log to cross on is generally not difficult.

I was up there a couple of weeks ago, trying to climb Mt. Ruth. The road was blocked at the highway, and there was a dozen or so avalanche tracks over the road. I'd be really surprised if it was cleared enough to get up there. I'd take a bike to ride up the road rather than counting on being able to drive.
