Snowshoes for Baker access?

I'm climbing Mt. Baker this weekend, and am stopping at REI tonight for some needed gear. Does anyone know if snowshoes are needed? If so, I'll have to rent some. Thanks.

I definitively would. Temps will be warm and the snowpack, especially for approach during the day, will be sloppy and deep.

There is a mountain madness group going up the south side this weekend but they are bringing snowshoes so don't expect a boot pack trail.

Climbed it this weekend and definitely wish we had brought them. We spent way too much time making post holes.
