Never saw these before. They look a little heavy(no pun intended)-also I wonder how well ventilated they are. Great site, cool art fashion, but not sure how practical they are. 100% UV protection is fine, but fogging, falsifying color,durability, etc. are important issues up on the mountain.

 

I have a couple pair of Julbo glacier goggles, really excellent, if a little pricey. Google "Julbo Glacier Glasses" for a ton of sources and catalogs. Whittaker Mountaineering has an excellent selection with "guides' choice" ratings, Zappos and Sierra Trading Post have some of the best prices.

You can go to a welding store and pick up "cheap" glacier glasses

just get a pair of the sunglasses/safety glasses with the number 5 lenses used for torch welding. I have used them some, but don't know about multiple day usage so you do so at your own risk.

 

They are a lot cheaper than regular glacier glasses. If nothing

else not a bad option for back ups or extras.
