CollinWoods Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 So i ran up to Lake Cle Elum Saturday in search for the "bolted crag" by the end of the Lake. I did in fact find several bolted routs but they were coverd in moss and wet (theres still lots of snow). I plan on making a trip back there this summer when it should be dryer and check out the quality of the rock. I can post some pics if anyones interested. I was pretty excited since its so close to home. Quote
AlpineMonkey Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I've been on those craggs. We climbed a nice 2 pitch bolted route right above the lake, I don't remember any moss though. Quote
CollinWoods Posted March 24, 2009 Author Posted March 24, 2009 Most of the first pitchs looked like they would be pretty slick. I will check it out when it drys up and i can get some one to check it out with me. Quote
Jens Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Over the last few years, CC has had a few threads on the routes you describe. The routes are only so-so but make for an OK diversion on the way out from a Daniel or Cathedral Rock alpine trip. Quote
CollinWoods Posted March 24, 2009 Author Posted March 24, 2009 Im up in Cle Elum a lot so i figure it might be a place to mess around. Quote
