PhöQ Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I used the search feature and came up blanks so heres the Q. I am looking for a lightweight synthetic bag for the northwest, I have a WM Highlite but I would prefer to hav a synthetic bag for inclement weather and sleeping next to wet dogs. (35 to 40 degree synthetic in regular) I am looking at either the: Montbell Ultra Light Alpine Burrow Bag™ #5 or Marmot pounder Light weight is key and if I need it a bit warmer I can use an overbag or sac. If anyone has a third valid option, I would be very interested but any feedback would be great. I am prolly gonna hit up Pro mtn sports tomorrow after a hike with Max so I appreciate and info in advance!! My classic overbag Quote
96avs01 Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Somewhat related, I own a Marmot Pounder Plus and found its 25 rating pretty accurate. Really quite happy with it after a couple of seasons. Quote
PhöQ Posted February 26, 2009 Author Posted February 26, 2009 Cool 96avs01, thanks for the input! With the new version of the pounder out I think i am just going to have to just look and feel them both and go with my gut feelings Quote
CollinWoods Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 (edited) I bought a MH Ultralamnial 15. Long is about $157 and its really light and compactable. I used it last weekend while snow backpacking with out a tent and it was really sweet. Though... If you wanting to sleep with "wet dogs" go with a big agnus or what ever there called... More room for the ladies. Edited February 26, 2009 by CollinWoods Quote
